Teaching Philosophy
Anna’s teaching practice is based on the belief that all humans have the capacity to dance, to move and to create.
Her dance classes are spaces for people to practice relating to their whole selves, each other and the world, with care. Her role as the teacher is to meet each student and each group where they are; culturally, physically and emotionally.
Anna facilitates dance and movement experiences that build off of the embodied knowledge and cultures of the student’s in the room and draw from the large toolbox of dance and movement practices she has found most resonant in her own life. Her dance classes are social and personal, sacred and silly, cultural and culture-making.
