Sliding Scale
It is important to me to make my classes and programs accessible to all students and organizations no matter their ability to pay. This year I am trying out a new sliding scale system which offers two payment choices, one for families that are low-income/financially tight and another for families that are employed/financially stable.
Rates
For individuals: Each class has its own sliding scale depending on the number of sessions and the length of the class and the nature of the program, but generally my rates are between $8 – $20/hour.
For Organizations and groups: $100 – $150/session (a session is anywhere between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours).
Payment plans: Many payment plans are available: monthly, quarterly, etc..
Scholarships: If paying the low end of the sliding scale would present a hardship for your family or organization (for example, if it would mean not being able to access basic needs or, in the case of an organization, pay for the basic functioning of the group) please be in touch about a very reduced rate or free option. I am very serious about the phrase no one will be turned away for lack of funds!
Barter: If you are interested in exchanging services or goods for dance classes please be in touch and we will work out a barter agreement. Services and goods that are of particular interest to me include (but are not limited to): Marketing support, Photography, Massage/body work, meat or dairy products, fermented products and prepared foods, house cleaning and pet sitting. Barter can be for full or partial payment.
